After losing her husband and young daughter in a tragic car accident, television reporter Claire Stephens has spent five years struggling with grief and questioning God's plan for her life.
While covering a Christmas story at a local children's home, Claire meets Eli Parker, a ten-year-old boy longing for a family to call his own. As their bond grows, Claire begins to rediscover a sense of purpose, while her longtime friendship with Jake unexpectedly blossoms into something more. But opening her heart to a new life means confronting the pain she has spent years trying to bury and learning to trust God with a future she never imagined for herself.
With help and a renewed faith, Claire discovers that God's plans can bring hope from heartbreak and that healing doesn't mean forgetting the past. Sometimes, it means trusting God to write the next chapter.
